The Raymarine RV-400 (A80615) is a high-performance, stainless steel through-hull transducer designed for anglers who require a robust, low-profile mounting solution that delivers advanced sonar capabilities without the drag or vulnerability of a transom-mount unit.

Compatibility Note: Important Generation Differences

   • Axiom+ RV models

   • Axiom Pro RVX models

   • RVX-1000 sonar modules

2. RVM-400 Series: Raymarine has released a newer RealVision MAX (RVM) series. These are NOT interchangeable with the standard RV series. If you have an Axiom 2 Pro RVM or an RVM-1600 sonar module, you must use the RVM-400 series transducer, not the standard RV-400.

Installation Checklist

• Hull Angle: The RV-400 is a 0° offset model, meaning it is designed for flat-bottom hulls (or hulls with less than a 5° deadrise). If your boat has a significant deadrise, you would typically need the offset pair (RV-412 or RV-420 series).

• Installation: As a through-hull unit, this requires drilling a 62 mm (2 7/16″) hole in your hull. While it is “easy” for a thru-hull, ensure you have the proper marine-grade sealant and the confidence to cut your hull, or have a certified marine technician handle the installation.

• Anti-Rotation: The kit includes an anti-rotation bolt to ensure the transducer remains fixed in the correct orientation.
