Critical Compatibility Note
As with your previous inquiries, please be aware that Lowrance ActiveTarget 2 is NOT compatible with Humminbird HELIX units.
ActiveTarget 2 uses proprietary Lowrance technology and requires a compatible Lowrance chartplotter to function. It is compatible with the following Lowrance displays:
-
HDS® PRO
-
HDS® LIVE
-
HDS® Carbon
-
Elite FS™
System Components
-
ActiveTarget 2 Sonar Module (The “Black Box”): This is the core processing hub. It must be connected to a power source and linked to your Lowrance display via Ethernet.
-
ActiveTarget 2 Transducer: Provides the live-scanning beam. It includes versatile mounting hardware for trolling motor shafts or barrels.
-
Cables: Includes a power cable and an Ethernet cable for connecting to your display unit.
Installation Tips for Your Setup
-
Power: The system draws 1.5A (typical/max). Use a 3A fuse on your power circuit to protect the unit.
-
Networking: You must have a free Ethernet port on your Lowrance display to connect the sonar module. If your ports are full, you will need a Lowrance NEP-2 expansion port.
-
Mobile/Belly Boat Use: If you are using this on a belly boat, ensure your battery (LiFePO4) is waterproof-cased and fused. Because this system is highly sensitive to movement, using a stable, adjustable transducer pole is highly recommended to manually orient the sonar beam.
